I've been a made by mary customer for about 6 years. I gave birth to my son wearing a mini disc necklace, and most of the 1st year postpartum, never taking it off. Later, bought a large Zola necklace with my 2 kids names and wore that for 2 years. I had the chain repaired and continued wearing it, until it broke again. My friend bought me a 2 disc necklace because she knew I wore my made by mary every single day. Well the new necklace lasted less than a week before tarnishing. Made by mary sent me a new one promptly, and this time I stopped using my new retinol cream (i assumed it HAD to be what causes the tarnishing). Within another 2 weeks my replacement necklace tarnished even worse. I emailed them to trouble shoot what could be causing this specific tarnishing (along the bottom half of both discs, see photos).. i asked if anything changed in how the discs are plated (they didnt ever address that with a response). But made by mary honored their policy and sent me another replacement (amazing!), but I'm terrified to wear it. I have to baby it and treat it like a cheap necklace from target. I can't shower or sleep or anything in it according to their care guide.. which i did for YEARS before. So while I'm happy with how well made by mary has honored their policy, I haven't received any explanation as to why their once durable necklaces are now not at all. Sad sad day, i wouldn't recommend anymore. But thank you for the good years.
